In a ferroelectric thin film material research experiment, Huang Houbing's team observed the previous unprecedented domain structure, which could not be reasonably explained by the existing theory of materials science, which once made Huang Houbing very confused。In the face of this challenge, Huang Houbing did not stand still, but continued to study and discuss with team members, hoping to find the reason from other disciplines。

Huang Houbing firmly believes: "Although there are differences between different disciplines, there are also interrelated and mutually promoting relations。Hard work pays off, and Huang Houbing's team finally found the answer from the mathematical knot theory。They found that the "Solomon ring" in knot theory can explain the new domain structure well。This discovery excited the team members, and they published their research results in the internationally renowned academic journal "Nature Communication", which has attracted wide attention and recognition in related fields。

After years of exploration and research,Huang Houbing has made a series of landmark achievements in the field of phase field simulation design of ferroelectric materials,Aiming at the application bottleneck of low entropy of electric card refrigeration,A phase field model of electrocrystallization was established.The design idea of increasing polarization entropy by increasing crystallinity,Achieve a 4-fold increase in entropy change;The developed model source code has been applied in international commercial software.Together with the domestic experimental team, he published 5 papers in the high-level journals Nature and Science。

The road to success has always been challenging。During the period of doctoral study, the boring and tedious day after day of data analysis, experimental operation and literature review once made him lose interest in scientific research, as if he was trapped in a fog and did not know where to go, but he did not give up, but chose to start again and strive to find new interests。

In a literature study, Huang Houbing found that the interpretation of experimental phenomena in literature was not satisfactory. After careful consideration, he tried to construct a new set of calculation models, and successfully explained the experimental phenomena more clearly through theoretical calculation。

It was this attempt that rekindled his interest and lit the light that guided him on through the fog。In the subsequent study, Huang Houbing explored wider and deeper, and with the accumulation of basic research and the collision of cross-fusion, he kept walking on the road to the success of material simulation computing。He continues to explore the mechanism behind the polarization of ferroelectric materials by using computational simulation methods, providing practical solutions to engineering problems such as the energy-saving use of materials and the application of smart materials。He firmly believes that "as long as we maintain our love for new knowledge and continue to strive for exploration and innovation, we will be able to achieve more dazzling achievements.。”
